Convening the MSK community to drive awareness and change

ARMA campaigns bring together organisations, professionals and people with lived experience to raise the profile of musculoskeletal (MSK) health and support change across the system.

As the UK alliance for MSK health, ARMA plays a unique role in convening the sector around shared priorities. Our campaigns help create a stronger collective voice, increase understanding of the impact of MSK conditions and support action to improve prevention, care and outcomes.

Our campaigning activity complements our policy work by helping translate evidence into awareness, engagement and momentum for change.

Our role

ARMA’s role in campaigns is to:

  • Convene partners across the MSK community around shared messages.
  • Provide a trusted platform for collective action
  • Support members to amplify their work and reach wider audiences
  • Raise awareness of the scale and impact of MSK conditions
  • Connect awareness activity with policy priorities and system change.

Through this approach we help ensure campaigns strengthen both public understanding and policy influence.

Working together

Our campaigns are collaborative. We work closely with our members and partners to:

  • Share consistent messages about MSK health
  • Highlight lived experience and professional insight
  • Promote practical action to improve MSK health
  • Support participation across the MSK community

This reflects ARMA’s role as a convenor, collaborator and campaigner for better MSK health.

Our campaigns

ARMA supports national campaigns that help raise awareness of MSK health and its importance to prevention, independence and participation.

These campaigns help highlight the experiences of people living with MSK conditions and the importance of recognising MSK health as a foundation of a healthy and thriving nation.
